For some reason, backhoes have always fascinated me. These are outside the Chocolate Moose, where we went to get ice cream tonight with sister Laura, old roommate Laura, and Heather. The city has decided to lay new water and sewage lines under the main north-south road through Bloomington, so these enormous diggers have slowly been making their way up the road. The one in the lower left of this photo is in a gigantic trench that's probably ten or fifteen feet deep.
