Now Playing: More Romantic piano music. Laura is sitting across from me, studying for Piano Literature.

My weekend consisted of some of the very most "traditional" activities available to our family. Philip came back last night in honor of Easter, so for twenty-four hours we're all under the same roof again, and what ensues is no one's responsibility.... Laura, my mother, and I went to the opening of the Farmer's Market today, "traditional" activity number one. When we got home, my mother cut Philip's hair, and he made exactly the same face as he's making in an old photo from at least fifteen years ago on the same occasion. He also pushed me into the mud in my socks...!

And my father made chili con queso for lunch, and after lunch Laura and I made challah bread, an activity that ended up taking most of the afternoon. My parents also did yard work; we went on a walk around the lake; Philip and Stephen played basketball, and my father finished out the day by barbecuing chicken. Laura has been banging on the piano; she, Philip, and I have been wrestling while Stephen watches and laughs at us; Annie has been going berserk with a paper bag.... The Ns At Home!

The post wouldn't be complete without some photos of our lovely challah, fresh out of the oven.

The link to the recipe is: http://confessionsoftart.blogspot.com/2010/02/challah.html if anyone is interested.
